Regina First Nations University

 

What an architectural marvel!   Huddled within the landscape are these horizontal bands of the built environment, veritable ribbons of limestone coming together in a glass tepee focal point.

Regina's Lake Wascana Landscapes

What started out as as a 1930s make work project has provided Regina's most wonderful natural amenity, Wascana lake.  It forms a natural divider of downtown separating the legislative Building and grounds to the south and Regina downtown to the north.

Wascana provides many Reginians with a place to walk and stay fit, as well as a visual playground to watch sunsets, geese, row boats and the four seasons.

Regina's Mosaic Festival

Regina's multi-cultural diversity is celebrated in an annual festival called Mosaic where a large number of nations present pavilions with ethnic dances, displays and food.

The Qu' Appelle Valley

Just half an hour north of Regina's billiard table flat landscape begins to give way to hilly country surrounding the Qu'Appelle Valley.   Here is the place of hillside clusters of housing with market gardens located below in the valley.  And further down is the lake itself.
